Pierre Cardin presents the new Fall/Winter 2014/2015 eyewear collection: the new sunglasses and optical frames celebrate the House’s stylistic codes with jewel-like detailing, inspired by Mr. Pierre Cardin’s legendary creations, and innovative materials, creating an unending dialogue between the past, the present, and the future.
The women’s models flaunt a classic style, enhanced by sophisticated motifs highlighting the eye, while the men’s glasses are an inspired blend of elegance and functionality.
The color palette explores new, refined combinations, with delicate graduated shading for the women’s eyewear and understated hues for the men’s models.

Timeless elegance: these acetate sunglasses are embellished with a jewel-like detail on the temples, inspired by a necklace designed by Mr. Pierre Cardin in the 1970s and enlivened by finely chiseled hexagonal-shaped metal elements, for a three-dimensional effect. The palette includes tones of blue, brown/green, black, Havana.

These cat-eye sunglasses and this optical frame feature a contemporary design, yet convey classic elegance. These models are adorned with a precious mother-of-pearl insert on the temples, which is the result of skilful treatments on the frames, enhanced by nuances of black/Havana, Havana/beige, opal burgundy/red Havana, beige/pink with Havana.

These pilot-shaped sunglasses and this rectangular optical frame flaunt a contemporary flair, highlighted by a fine interplay of materials. A wood-effect acetate detail on the temples, framed by thin metal inserts and bearing the Pierre Cardin logo, adds a distinctive touch. The optical frame features the integrated flex hinge, for a pure, essential design and maximum comfort.

Versatile and easy-to-wear, these men’s rectangular-shaped acetate sunglasses can be readily turned into a sophisticated optical frame. The metal temples are decorated with a thin plaque bearing the Pierre Cardin logo, which stands out on nuances of black, dark Havana, transparent blue, brown.

The new optical frame features softly rounded lines and is characterized by a slightly elongated oval silhouette. The flex temples, ensuring maximum comfort, are embellished with a metal plaque bearing the House’s laser-engraved logo, the brand’s signature detail. The color palette moves from classic tones of gloss black, cream, brown and blue, to bright shades of cyclamen and red.

A precious jewel-like metal chain adds sparkle and a lively, glamorous detail to the model and allows you to always keep your glasses handy. But that’s not all: you can also wear it as a necklace. This frame is so functional, versatile and sophisticated that it makes the perfect accessory.

The new optical frame (mod. P.C. 8410) will be available at PIERRE CARDIN boutiques and high-end opticians starting in April 2014.

These acetate sunglasses – which are a glamorous, contemporary take on a legendary model displayed at the “Pierre Cardin Museum” in Paris – enthral with their oversized, square silhouette, combining twisting lines with clean-cut, sharp profiles. The temples are embellished with the sophisticated “PC” monogram, now presented in a precious new jewel-like bas-relief version.

The fine interplay of contrasting geometric volumes is either highlighted by an alluring 70s-inspired Optical black/white color combination with smoky grey lenses or softened by discreet shades of green/havana with shaded brown lenses, purple/havana with shaded grey/brown lenses, total black with shaded grey lenses or havana with shaded brown lenses.

The temples are embellished with an exclusive crescent-shaped jewel-like insert adorned with sparkling crystals, a glamorous geometric detail recalling the brand’s legendary accessories. The colour palette includes refined tones of black, dark Havana, striped Havana, Havana/grey and burgundy with shaded grey or brown lenses.

Contemporary inspirations with a sophisticated twist: these optical frames have square metal fronts with softly rounded edges, which add a note of pure elegance. The temples are decorated with a precious crescent-shaped jewel-like detail enlivened by dazzling crystals, which stand out on refined shades of colour: ruthenium front with dark grey temples, rose gold front with pearled brown or light Havana temples, chocolate front with pearled beige temples, bronze front with pearled cream temples or pink front with purple/burgundy temples.

Sophisticated and easy-to-wear, these men’s rectangular acetate sunglasses and this optical frame feature clean, simple lines and a lightweight feel. The sunglasses come in classic hues of gloss black, blue, Havana and brown with matte grey or brown lenses, while the optical frame is available in understated nuances of ruthenium, gold and palladium perfectly combined with blue, black and Havana fronts, respectively.

Essential and lightweight: this men’s optical frame flaunts a rectangular-shaped rimless front and a contemporary, minimalist design highlighted by a classic colour palette in tones of ruthenium with black temples, gold with Havana temples and palladium with blue temples. The “Pierre Cardin” brand is clearly visible on the initial part of the temples.
