Safilo India’s fashion space in New Delhi
Mr. Vittorio Tabacchi, chairman Safilo Group, inaugurates Safilo India’s fashion space in New Delhi
New Delhi, March 14, 2008 – To add luxury and style to the ongoing Fashion Week, the Safilo Group, worldwide leader in high-end eyewear, launches it’s exhibition space in New Delhi. Adding designer eyewear to the fashion matrix of the city Safilo India unveils its rich bouquet of branded eyewear.
Understanding and endorsing the importance of the burgeoning Indian market for Safìlo, the Chairman of the Group, Vittorio Tabacchi, personally inaugurated the new fashion space, located in one of the most prestigious districts of New Delhi. This place is the ideal location, displaying a vast selection of sunglasses and optical frames with the most famous international brand names, produced and distributed by Safìlo. This space will now bring alive the rich Safilo merchandise experience for retail professionals and fashion editors in North India.
Leader in high range eyewear and world leader in the sector of prescription glasses, sunglasses and sports eyewear, the Safìlo Group is one of the most important multinational groups in the sector of fashion accessories. Playing a role of increasing significance in the international fashion system, it has been operating in India, at Mumbai, since 2001.
The new exhibition space houses as many as 6,000 pairs of glasses from the current line. It is the new reference center for Safilo clients from North India.
Safilo’s new "fashion address": 75 Link Road Lajpat Nagar III follows the group’s global design concepts. In synergy with the other prestigious trade showrooms of the Group in London, Paris, Barcelona, Milan and New York it reflects clean lines and transparency.
Particularly luminous because of the extensive use of crystal for tables and shelves it also plays with ample natural light that filters in through the large plate glass windows. Designed with a modern, minimal aspect with the lacquered white walls alternating with steel panels, the office ensures that the eyewear is the absolute focus. As transparent cases and niches, lit by adjustable spotlights create harmonious plays of light.
