Ski World Cup Championship 2006-2007. The CARRERA Ski Racing Team closes up an exciting season.

MARC BERTHOD, 2nd place in Super Combined final standing with 202 points
JENS BYGGMARK, 3rd place in Slalom final standing with 490 points

Padova, 19th March 2007 - Last weekend in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, the 2006/2007 Ski World Cup Championship came to a close. The CARRERA SKI RACING TEAM can look back with satisfaction at the countless wins gained in the various alpine ski events with the athletes who raced with CARRERA helmets and goggles to the top steps of the most coveted podiums.

In Alpine Skiing great results were achieved by the Swede JENS BYGGMARK, at his first ever World Cup victory in Slalom at Kitzbuehel both on 27th and 28th January, taking 3rd position in the Slalom final standing with 490 points.

Great results were also achieved by another young CARRERA talent, Swiss skier MARC BERTHOD. He stormed to first place at the Adelboden Slalom on the 7th of January and securing the 2nd place in Super Combined final standing with 202 points.

Other memorable thriumps of the season were achieved with the Austrian HANS GRUGGER in Super-G on 11th March, MICHAEL WALCHHOFER in the Men’s Downhill on 28th and 29th December and the Italian MANFRED MOELGG, already vice-champion in Åre, got third position in the Slalom of Lenzerheide.

In the women's competitions excellent results were achieved with Sweden's ANJA PAERSON, the first woman to triumph in all individual disciplines at World Championships winning a gold medal in the Downhill, Slalom, and Super-G disciplines. Top spot was achieved in the Super-G at Lenzerheide on 15th March and the Silver Medal was conquered in Slalom on the 17th of March. Austrian ANDREA FISCHBACHER skied to 2nd place in the Slalom at Lenzerheide, conquering her second podium in career. Swedish skier,THERESE BORSSEN was also the undisputed leader of the Semmering Special Slalom on the 29th of December.

Excellent results were also achieved in the Nordic Combined, with Austrian CHRISTOPH BIELER who conquered several victories, achieving first position on the 3rd of December in Lillehammer, on the 16th of December in Ramsau am Dachstein, Austria and on the 13th of January in Val di Fiemme. Austrian FELIX GOTTWALD triumphed on the 6th of January at Oberstdorf in Germany and on the 20thof January in Seefeld, Austria.

CARRERA helmets and goggles, fundamental for the athletes' safety during their superb performances, have accompanied the CARRERA SKI RACING TEAM throughout each event.
